INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY
In the event that a game needs to be stopped due to inclement weather, lightning, etc, you will be instructed by one or all of the following methods:
1) Notified by tournament staff member
3) Air Horns
Everyone should then proceed to their cars or a safe place. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE SITE. When everything is all clear the air horns will sound again and you will be informed by a tournament staff member. You should then return to the field. If it is necessary for you to check with our Tournament Directors Tent regarding an inclement weather situation, we ask that only the teams' head coach go to the tent.
Games will be suspended until 30 minutes after the last lightning or thunder has left the vicinity. Inclement weather is always a possibility and such weather may result in delayed, abbreviated or canceled games. The tournament committee will attempt to reschedule games to insure that each team will play a full schedule for the tournament. Games may be shortened or postponed in order to meet this goal. The Tournament Directors and Committee have authority to suspend games due to weather.
In the event of inclement weather, every attempt will be made to reschedule games using any available means. It should be noted that if inclement weather occurs after half time we will consider the game final and the scores will be official. If inclement weather occurs before half time we will finish the game until the half. All remaining game times will be reduced and will be dependent on the amount of delay time. Therefore, the schedule will also be delayed and will be dependent on the number of games that did not reach half time.
Finally, due to the number of participating teams, we cannot contact all of the coaches by phone to advise of cancellations, postponements, etc. Therefore, in the event of inclement weather, please check the HSC website: www.harrisonsoccerclub.org - for all updated information.
