Coach Pitch

For girls ages 7-9 who have 0 to 2 years of softball/baseball experience.

Coach pitch.  The emphasis is on basic skills and the development of those skills.  Base stealing is not permitted.  Provide as many opportunities (positions and innings) as possible for each player.

Practices and games will be about 1½ - 2 hours in length.  Teams typically practice twice a week (once during the week, and once on the weekend) prior to the season.  Once the season starts the games will follow the same schedule.  You can expect to play 12 games during the season.  If we have 4 or more teams within our league, we'll also hold a end of season tournament.

The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 35 feet.

Minors

For girls ages 7-11.

Practices and games will be about 2 hours in length.  Teams typically practice twice a week (once during the week, and once on the weekend) prior to the season.  Once the season starts the games will follow the same schedule.  You can expect to play 12 games during the season.  If we have 4 or more teams within our league, we'll also hold a end of season tournament.

After each Spring season an All-Star team may may be chosen to enter the International Tournament, the culmination of which is the Little League Softball World Series, featuring teams from around the world.

The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 40 feet.

Juniors

For girls ages 12-14.

Player pitch.  Emphasis is on refinement of skills and advanced strategies.  Base stealing is permitted.  Provide as many opportunities (positions and innings) as possible for each player.  Very Competitive.

Practices and games will be about 2 hours in length.  Teams typically practice twice a week (once during the week, and once on the weekend) prior to the season.  Once the season starts the games will follow the same schedule.  You can expect to play 12 games during the season.

After each Spring season an All-Star team may may be chosen to enter the International Tournament, the culmination of which is the Little League Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington, featuring teams from around the world.

Seniors

For girls ages 13-16.

Player pitch.  Emphasis is on refinement of skills and advanced strategies.  Base stealing is permitted.  Provide as many opportunities (positions and innings) as possible for each player.  Very Competitive.

Practices and games will be about 2 hours in length.  Teams typically practice twice a week (once during the week, and once on the weekend) prior to the season.  Once the season starts the games are scheduled by the district and usually consist of Sunday doubleheaders.  You can expect to play 12 games during the season.

After each Spring season an All-Star team may may be chosen to enter the International Tournament, the culmination of which is the Little League Softball World Series in Sussex, Delaware, featuring teams from around the world.

The diamond used is a 60-foot diamond and the pitching distance is 43 feet.

Player Eligibility Requirements

 

To be eligible to play ball at North Forsyth Little League, a child must meet at least one of three requirements:

  1. The child's parents are living together and reside within our league boundaries.
  2. Either parent or court appointed legal guardian reside within our league boundaries.
  3. The child attends a school within our league boundaries.

Proof of residence must be established by supplying documents that containing the following: 

  • parent(s) or guardian(s) name
  • street address
  • city
  • state
  • zip code
  • dated between February 1st of last year and February 1st of this year

The documents must come from each of three groups:

Group I
Driver's License
School records
Vehicle records (i.e. registration, lease, etc.)
Employment records
Insurance documents

Group II
Welfare/child care records
Federal records (i.e. Federal Tax, Social Security, etc.)
State records
Local (municipal) records
Support payment records
Homeowner or tenant records
Military records

Group III
Voter's Registration
Utility bills (i.e. gas, electric, water/sewer, phone, mobile phone, heating, waste disposal)
Financial (loan, credit, investments, etc.) records
Medical records
Internet, cable, or satellite records

School attendance can be established by providing on of the following documents:

  1. Official/Certified School enrollment record
  2. Little League School Enrollment Form completed by the principal, assistant principal, or authorized administrator

 

Team Placement Policy

North Forsyth Little League cannot guarantee that any player (other than coaches' kids) will be on any coaches' team.  The only guarantee we can make regarding team placement, is that siblings in the same division will be placed on the same team.

All player drafts will be overseen and run by our Player Agent.  Any trades or roster changes must be approved by our Player Agent.
