The coaching staff at SESA represents one of the most critical components to successful player development and overall enjoyment of learning the sport of soccer. Possessing the skills and knowledge necessary to deliver quality instruction while maximizing the time spent working with players is both a science and an art that takes years to develop; not unlike developing the skills and knowledge for playing the game itself.
The science of coaching requires the ability to properly assess both strengths and deficiencies in the individual player as well as in the team. The art of coaching requires the ability to deliver critiques, both positive and negative, in a manner that builds trust and confidence in the individual player as well as the team. Coaches must be able to couple these skills to effectively engage players in a manner that fosters the development of both skills and knowledge while creating a positive environment that players want to be a part of.
SESA prides itself on employing highly qualified coaches and also working to retain and develop those coaches for the betterment of the players and the club. All SESA coaches have a USSF āEā License or above and are encouraged to continue to work to advance their coaching education and knowledge.
