NSC develops and places teams into the LVYSL, BMYSL and NVYSL leagues.

Lehigh Valley Youth Soccer League (LVYSL)

The Nazareth Soccer Club offers an opportunity for players who are interested in developing their soccer skills beyond recreational soccer. This opportunity is our Lehigh Valley program. Lehigh Valley soccer allows players to match up against other competitive soccer teams in the Lehigh Valley Region. The Nazareth Soccer Club/Lehigh Valley program begins at the U-9 (8 years old age group).

LVYSL Coaching Philosophy
Coaching is based on the physical, cognitive, and emotional level of the players. Player development is the goal of each season. Unlike the Recreation League, players are not guaranteed equal playing time. Skill level, commitment to attending and fully participating in training sessions, number of players on the team, and competition level of the opposing team can influence individual playing time. U-9/U-10 teams emphasis will be on technical development with some team play tactics. As the players develop U-12 teams emphasis will be on technical development with increased emphasis on team play tactics. As players then advance to U-14 teams and above they should have learned technical development and will concentrate on team play tactics.

Parent Player Commitment
Lehigh Valley requires a commitment of time from both player and parents. Players are expected to train at least twice a week. Games are played both in and out of town. Most games are within a 30-mile radius of Nazareth. Game days can be Saturdays or Sundays. A normal schedule would contain five home and five away games. Teams are encouraged to enter tournaments each season.

Affiliation/Partnering
Travel teams may partner with other area soccer clubs during summer or season trainings/practices to facilitate introduction of a larger player pool.  This is supported by the NSC affiliation with area clubs including ENCO and Keystone.  These sessions are intended on challenging NSC players and providing exposure of the players to challenging environments, further encouraging player development.

Additional Fees
There are often additional fees associated with tournament participation, training both in and out of season, and for additional equipment.

Blue Mountain Youth Soccer League (BMYSL) or Northern Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL)

The purpose of the recreational program is to promote the spirit of teamwork and good sportsmanship through recreational soccer within the Blue Mountain Youth Soccer League(BMYSL) and/or the Northern Valley Youth Soccer League (NVYSL). Some travel will be required to neighboring towns and boroughs. (ie; Forks, Palmer, Catasauqua, etc.)

Recreational Program Goals

• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play.
• Afford equal opportunities to every player, regardless of age or sex.
• To see that every child is given a chance to participate without regard to ability level.
• Blue Mountain is co-ed in the Spring Season only.
• Blue Mountain hosts a year end Tournament Garcia Cup (1st week of November)
