Kirtland Youth Soccer League

What is Youth Soccer?  Our youth soccer program is for ages 4 to 11 who are interested in playing soccer.  We accept all skill levels and experience is not necessary.

When does the season start and end?  Registration for U10 & U12 youth soccer includes both fall and spring sessions.  Fall session for all divisions will begin in August and runs through the middle of October.  Spring session starts in April and runs until mid May.  There is no additional cost for spring session and your child will be on the same team as the fall. U6 & U8 do not play in the Spring season. *U8 is trying Spring out in 2018 with West Geauga. Hopefully, this will program will be successful for future seasons.

When are games and practices?  Most games will be on Saturdays but there may be some weeknight games as well.  Practices are decided by the individual coach based on their availability.

How do I register?  If you do not have an account with KYSL, then you’ll need to open one on our website.  Once you have an account and add your child as a participant, you will be able to see the available programs based on his or her birthdate.  Choose the program you are interested in and follow the program through to payment.  You will receive a confirmation email from Blue Sombrero when registration is complete. 

What if I want to request a specific coach or teammate?  During registration there is a section for “special requests” to make your request. We will do our best to honor requests and to make sure teams are balanced.  We cannot guarantee that all requests will be granted. 

When will I hear about team placement?  Team announcements will be received by email at the end of July.  Team schedules will be posted on our website.

How can I volunteer to be a coach or an assistant coach?  During registration there is a page for volunteering.  Choose which volunteer positions you are interested in and you will be contacted.  Volunteer coaches are vital to making our program a success.  Please consider volunteering or finding out more about volunteer opportunities within our club.

Does my child get a uniform?  All players will receive a jersey, shorts, and socks.  You will need to supply shin guards, water bottle, and soccer ball.  Soccer cleats are not mandatory although they are recommended especially on days when the fields may be wet.

What is your refund policy?  Our refund policy can be found on our website.  Click on the tab “FAQ's” and then “Program Fees”.  All refunds are provided by check by our KYSL Treasurer.

My child cannot play soccer in the fall.  Can he/she play in the spring?  Please email KirtlandSoccer@gmail to work through these questions. This can sometimes be handled for one-off situations but is not always guaranteed.
