Pirates top the Padres 15-13

The Union Center Fire Pirates sustain an early lead to down the Padres 15 to 13.

The Pirates jumped on top scoring 7 runs in the first, but the Padres battled back to even the score after their second at bat.  Pirates offensive attack was led by Aden Fischthal, who hit 2 back to back triples, and Dylan Piester who went 3 for 3 on the day with a double.

The game saw 7 different pitchers between both teams.  Pirates pitcher, Zach Cornell struck out 5 and held the Padres to two scoreless innings stalling the early rally.

Brady Palmer went 3 for 4 and Zach Rader hit 2 for 4, but it was not enough even though Mancini and Medina also tallied late game hits for the Padres.  The game ended with a double play from Cornell to Sanford.
