FAQs

What is Super Y League?

Super Y League, also known as Super Y, is an elite summer youth league created by  United Soccer League.   The league started over 15 years ago to provide summer  competition for the elite male and female youth soccer player.  There are clubs that  participate from all over the United States and Canada.  At the end of each summer  league, the top two teams in each division compete in December for their respective  National Championship at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fl.

What teams are participating for Florida Elite for 2015?

U11/U12 Boys
U11/U12 Girls
U13 Boys
U14 Boys

How does the selection process work?

Some offers will be sent to players immediately following the first tryout session. If your player does not receive an offer immediately that does NOT mean they did not make the team. The tryout process is meant to be as thorough as possible to ensure that ALL players are assessed. Offers will be sent before and after the first two tryout sessions. The third tryout session will only be used if further assessment is necessary.
Offer acceptances will have deadlines assigned to them. The team rosters need to be complete as soon as possible.

Where are the training sessions and when does it begin?

We will have training sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 630-8pm at  Veterans and Chuck Rogers Parks.
Training will begin in Mid-May.

If selected, does my child have to be at every practice and game?

If your child is selected for any of our teams, we will send out an email asking for  your possible vacation days.  This will allow the coach to pick the team based upon  the players available.

How large is the team roster?

We are allowed to have a roster of 25 players.  From these 25 players, only 18 are  selected to dress on game day.

When will we know about the game day roster?
The coaches will pick their game day roster on every Wednesday, submit their  rosters to us, and then we will notify each roster pool that night.

When will games start?

Games will start in June and go through July.  Based upon the amount of teams in  each age group, our teams will play between 8-12 games this summer.  We will have  a game schedule from USL around April after our Division meeting in late March.

What is the club fee and are they any additional costs?

The fee for Super Y this year is 395.00.  Included in this fee is your training and  match uniform.  The only additional fee is your own travel costs associated with the  away games.  The club will pay for the coach's travel costs.
