Emmorton Barracudas Swim Team is a competitive Summer Swim Team open to swimmers age 5 to 18 years old (as of 6/1/2023) regardless of previous swim team experience. Swimmers should be able to swim one length of a 25 yard pool without stopping. Competitive meets are held on Wednesday evenings at 6 pm and Saturday mornings at 8 am. The Swim Team is a family affair and parental involvement is MANDATORY to fill all positions needed to run swim meets.
Each family must volunteer for at least 3 meets.

*Please be prompt to each meet. Arrive at least 15 minutes before warm-ups (which are 30-60 minutes prior to meet start). Saturday meets start at 8:00 am and Wednesday meets start at 6:00 pm.
*During the meet stay in the team's designated area.
*Swimmers and spectators must be quiet at the start of each race.
*Unsportsman-like conduct will not be tolerated.
*Swimmers will be expected to swim the events in which the coaches have entered them.
*Complete attention, cooperation, and respect is to be given to the coaches at all times.
*No touching the water or jumping into the pool unless the starter says to do so; we risk disqualification if this happens.
*All swimmers must wear their team cap.
Note: Swimmers will be allowed to swim in up to four events:
Three individual events and one relay

Two individual events and two relays
