About the Hanover Soccer Club

Welcome To The Hanover Soccer Club

The Hanover Soccer Club has over 400 families playing soccer at our newly unveiled plush green fields behind Utz Quality Foods on High Street.  We have children playing at all levels from Intramural to Competitive Travel, and are the destination of choice to play soccer in the greater Hanover area. While we are constantly improving as a well organized club, providing quality coaching, and a higher level of play, we pride ourselves in keeping a proper focus on skill development and FUN!!Hanover Soccer Club aims to promote, foster and perpetuate youth soccer; providing the youth of the Hanover Community the opportunity to experience the game, learn and develop soccer skills, and participate in a controlled competitive environment.

Hanover Soccer Club promotes sportsmanship and character to its players and coaches.

We are a member of the United States Youth Soccer Association and the Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association (EPYSA), and uphold the rules and regulations established by these organizations.

We offer two levels of Play:  Intramural & Travel.

INTRAMURAL
Our Intramural Program aims to provide children in the Hanover Community the opportunity to learn the game of soccer and have fun while doing so.

Teams are selected by Registration based on many factors, including practice night, siblings playing on same night, gender composition of the registrants, etc… Every attempt is made for each team to have an equal number of players and each level to have an even number of teams. Intramural teams are co-ed.

Games are played on Sundays, and practice is generally one night a week.

TRAVEL
Our Travel Program aims to develop quality soccer players and teams that are competitive on a local, district and regional level. In carrying out this mission, coaches and representatives should continually strive to improve our image as a club, to attract and retain quality players, and to develop quality soccer players by continuously improving the quality of training, coaching, equipment, and playing fields.

Coaches are encouraged to attain an approved soccer coaching license or have coaching experience deemed acceptable by the Board of Directors.

Teams are selected by General Tryouts, held every spring. Players trying out will be evaluated by an independent evaluator and by the team coach. Players will be selected on the basis of soccer skills, athletic ability, attitude, and the desire to learn.

The preference of the club is that travel teams will be all male or all female. If there are not sufficient players to form an all male and all female team, a co-ed team may be formed.

Games are generally played on Saturdays, and practice is generally two nights a week.
