Schedule for Tryouts

Junior League (Grade 5 & Grade 6) - 9:30am - 10:30am

Senior League (Grade 7 & Grade 8) - 10:30am.- 11:30am

Biddy League (Grade 3 & Grade 4) - 11:45am - 12:45pm

Our tryouts/evaluations for the Boys Rec Basketball League will take place this Saturday, November 5, 2021 at the Lyndhurst Rec Center (862 Valleybrook Ave) for all players EXCEPT 2nd Graders. The Schedule is below:

Due to a very large turnout this season in registration for the Biddy League - we will be creating a separate "league" for 2nd graders only. The Biddy League will only be played with 3rd and 4th graders this season, with all returning players remaining on the same team they played on last season. Only new 3rd and 4th graders must attend evaluations/tryouts.

We will hold a separate tryout for the 2nd graders in the very near future. Currently, the executive board is creating a plan for the 2nd graders that will be a great experience for all that registered.

Please know that regardless of ability, all players will be placed on a rec basketball team. Additionally, we strongly urge that your son attend the tryout, however if for some reason you cannot attend, your son will still be placed on a team.

All 3rd & 4th graders in the Biddy League that are returning players to their team DO NOT have to tryout

Please know that parents may walk their child in to check in, and may enter the gym at the end of the tryout to meet their child's coach and pick them up, but parents will not be allowed to remain in the gym during the tryouts due to the large number of players trying out and the limited space we will have in the gym.

Lastly, if you chose to pay your registration fee by check, the fee is due at registration. If you paid on time the check is $93 made payable to Lyndhurst Boys Basketball, if you had a late fee it is $118.
