Recreational Play

Purpose
The Recreation program is for beginning soccer players or kids who want to play without the pressure of winning. The Recreation program provides balanced, competitive play while developing players, coaches and referees without the additional costs and commitment of time required by highly competitive leagues. There is no travel out of town. Players are guaranteed 50 percent playing time during the season and tournament play. The focus is on teaching players the fundamental skills of the game. Families may choose to participate in either the spring seasons, or both fall and spring. The fall season generally begins shortly after Labor Day, and the spring season generally begins the second week of February. Teams usually play six games over the course of seven to eight weeks. Practices are limited to no more than twice a week at no more than an hour at a time. Practices generally begin two weeks before the first game.

Teams
Teams will be formed to provide opportunity for each player to play and have fun while also growing and developing.
Each team will have a volunteer coach and will need parents to volunteer to help manage and coach the team when necessary.

Games
All games will be played at the NESLA CenturyLink Soccer Complex. Directions to the fields can be found at the top of the page under Facilities.
