  • Playing Fields – For directions, please visit www.florence-soccer.com

Playing field sizes and numbers on field will be changing from previous year's due to the changes made by the US Soccer Federation. The FTSA will modify the rules set forth by the USSF based on our needs and abilities.

    • U6 – Riverfront

    • U8 – Riverfront

    • U11 – Marter and Veteran’s

    • U14 – Marter and Veteran’s

  • In case of inclement weather, the league will try to make a decision prior to 3pm. Please check the website and your email for updates. If nothing has posted by 3pm, please arrive at your field for game time decision by the referees. Always have your coach’s phone number handy.

  • Photo day will be scheduled once a photographer is selected. Photo Day will be in September to ensure photos are received prior to the end of the season.

  • Your child must have soccer cleats (baseball and softball cleats are not allowed), shin guards and soccer socks that COVER the shin guard. These rules are for the safety of all the children playing. Also, no jewelry (earrings, necklaces, and bracelets) or metal hair clips are allowed.

  • Each player in the U8, U11 and U14 divisions will be receiving 2 shirts: one navy and one gold. Each player will also receive a pair of navy and a pair of gold socks. During the games that your team is the home team, your child will wear the gold shirt and socks. During the games that your team is the away team, your child will wear the navy shirt and socks. Please carry the other color with you to each game in case there is a need to change shirts and socks. In order to receive your uniforms, your child’s candy or buyout money must be turned into the league.

  • Keep in mind that the coaches are volunteering their time to teach our children about the sport of soccer, they are not there to be your child’s babysitter. Do not leave your child there with that expectation. We ask that you stay for all practices and games if possible. This will ensure your presence if there is inclement weather and we have to get the players off the field quickly or if the practice/game finishes early. Your presence would also be needed if your child gets hurt in anyway. If you cannot stay, please discuss this with your coach and have an alternate way to get your child back to you. The Florence Township Police will be called if your child is left unattended at the end of a practice or game and you will have to pick your child up from the police station.

  • Our recreation league is designed to provide a structured learning environment and to promote the ideals of sportsmanship and teamwork. Please keep this in mind while watching your children play. Be respectful of the coaches volunteering their time and the referees on the field. You will be required to sign a Code Of Ethics outlining expectations for coaches, players and parents.

  • Please consider volunteering your time, either as a head coach or an assistant coach. If you do choose to coach, you must obtain a Florence Township coaching badge through the township. Please email the league president, Cathy Anthony, at florencenjsoccer@gmail.com to begin the process. You will have to be fingerprinted and complete a background check. You also need to complete concussion training through the CDC website. It is a 30 minute video with a completion certificate that prints at the end. This certificate needs to be submitted to the league president as well.

  • Thank you once again for registering your child! We are looking forward to a great season.
