National – Eckerstrom was a member of U.S. U-17 squad since 2009 and attended U-18 training camp in 2010.

College – Eckerstrom is a junior Goalkeeper at Penn State.  She recorded five shutouts in five 2014 spring season games. In 2013 fall season, she started 23 games out of 23 games played, and recorded 15 wins and 94 saves. She earned 2013 Big Ten All-Tournament Team. In 2012, she recorded four wins and 27 saves and started four games in 11 appearances. She tallied a season-high nine saves and contributed to a shutout at Ohio State (9/27). Two-time Academic All-Big Ten honors.
