Hello NRU Families,

We are excited to announce a partnership with VA Momentum to help support the Polly Zeiger Endowment.A former teacher at Gilbert Linkous Elementary and Christiansburg Primary School,Polly Zeiger was an active member within the community. Pollyshowed a true passion for the game of soccer and all three of her children play or have played for New River United (NRU).Polly will be remembered by family, friends, colleagues and students for her generosity, loving nature, gentle spirit and willingness to help. Polly’s motto was “Light and Love!” and she was certainly an intense source of both for all who knew her.In her memory, thePollyZeigerMemorial Scholarship Fund was established to help families in need pay soccer fees.

To help support the endowment, we are working with VA Momentum and asking for participation theSplishSplash3 Miler.Join us on August 10th at 8am. This family-friendly morning run/walk will give you a nice cool down this summer! We’re talkin’ water balloons on the course. We're talkin' slip ‘n slide at the finish line. We're talkin' end-of-summer fun run with all your people! All skill levels of walkers/runners are welcome (3 Miler is chip timed).For all NRU families, use code SUMMER for $5 off your total registration!
