This is the Opening Day schedule
ALL Kids/parents/coaches need to be onsite @ Salem Woods Park by 8:30 AM
- Remember to alert parents to the issues with parking at SWP and having to potentially park across the street. DO NOT park in the condos! You will be towed!!
- Gather players behind concession stand in clearing in trees and sort teams with oldest (Senior) nearest Salem Road up to youngest (Tee Ball) nearest playground (good luck with that).
- Parents should be behind OF fence on Field #1
- Raffle Tickets need to be turned in BY 8:30 AM, No later! There will be a booth set up near the concessions stand for ticket collection. Make sure they are in a sealed zip lock bag with team name written legibly on the outside!
8:30 AM - 9:00 AM
- Allowing to get into uniform if this is the first opportunity for distribution.
- Getting teams in order (herding cats).
9:00 AM
- Parade begins. Teams proceed past concessions stand (one team at a time), as they are introduced, onto Field #1 in the right field corner, march all the way along the fence line, make a left turn down 3rd base line, make a left turn to proceed around the infield, and stopping on the 1st base line. Teams follow suit behind, staggering the stopping point away from 1st base line, gradually wrapping back towards 3rd base line.
- Once teams have stopped march, special guest (TBA) will go team by team as DJ announces team for Banner Contest (if you haven't gotten one yet, you better get started). The winner will be decided by loudest roar!!
