Referee Classes in Region 1605

  1. The Region will train you and provide your referee equipment and uniform. Anyone 12 years of age and older is eligible to become a Regional Referee. 

    STEP ONE: APPLY AS AN AYSO VOLUNTEER

  2. Before enrolling in a specific course, you must complete a Volunteer Form and the Safe Haven online training. If you have not done so, please go to eAYSO.org and complete your new Volunteer Form today and complete the online SAFE HAVEN course. 

    STEP TWO: REGISTER FOR A SPECIFIC COURSE ON EAYSO.

  3. Courses are held in all surrounding regions so if you miss our regions course, you can always attend one that is held in another region.

    BASIC REFEREE COURSES

    Our Basic Referee Course allows you complete your certification in a live classroom session. These courses are taught by local volunteer Referee Instructors and offer the best training available. If you prefer learning in a classroom setting, we highly recommend this course. The course can be also offered in a “Youth Only” format specifically tailored to children under 16.     BASIC REFEREE ONLINE COMPANION COURSES

    Our Basic Referee Online Companion Course is the fastest route to certification as a referee; half of the course is completed online at your leisure prior to attending the live class. These courses are taught by local volunteer Referee Instructors and are designed to get you out on the field as effortlessly as possible. You must complete the online portion of the course before attending an Online Companion Course.

    Register for one of the courses listed above on eAYSO. After logging in, select Signup/Course and search for the courses above in Section 1, Area R.

    If you have registered for the Basic Referee Online Companion Course, you must complete the online portion of the course before attending this class. Please follow these instructions; if you have the email from eAYSO with your AYSO ID, skip to the fourth task below.
  1. Login to eAYSO by clicking here.

    Locate your eAYSO ID in the list of active volunteers on the lower left.

    Write down the AYSO ID you see next to your name.

    Login to AYSO Online Training by clicking here.

    Enter your AYSO ID and last name in the appropriate fields and click Login.

    Select Course R002 - Basic Referee Online Training .

    Enjoy your training course.

    Print your Basic Referee Online Course Certificate when you have completed the course.


    The online course will take you about two hours to complete. Note any questions you may have and bring them to the live Companion Course.
