U10 Girls are Champions!

The 2015 GAASA regular season finished this past weekend and the Fusion U10 girls finished as Champions in the C2 division.

"It has been a great experience for all of the girls, I think" states Coach Mitchell. "I wasn't sure how we would handle jumping up two divisions from our Championship Fall season, but the girls are showing us all just what can be done when you learn to play the game the right way".

F.C. Fusion has adopted a possession-based curriculum this past Winter and the teams have been developing this style of play for over six months now. "Our players are being pushed to understand just what it takes to play a possession style of soccer", says Coach Mitchell. "It started out rough for us, but now the hard work is starting to payoff and we are not just 'winning' games, we are playing the game right and 'winning' is just the bi-product of our player development".

The Fusion Girls will be in action this Sunday, June 7th, at 8 am as the look to continue what they have done all season, and compete in the 2015 GAASA Spring Playoffs.
