U10 Boys Start With a Bang

Tuesday night the U10 boys opened up their Spring season at home against Tallmadge. Despite the windy conditions the team battled hard and were rewarded with the win.

The first half was a well evened match as both teams threatened to score. Fusion took the lead when Jace Gibbons dribbled into the box and found himself one-on-one with the keeper and tucked the ball into the corner of the goal. Despite controlling the possession game, Tallmadge found the back of the net and equalized before halftime.

The second half saw Fusion settle in and begin to attack the Tallmadge goal relentlessly. The team moved the ball well side to side and were able to score a few goals to secure the win.

"I thought the team played well despite the cold and windy conditions we had", Coach Mitchell commented. "The defense played great from beginning to end, and our keepers were outstanding in net. The first half we seemed a bit anxious, but they settled down and began to possess the ball and move it like we have been working on in training. I think our ability to play the ball out of the back and possession style of play will be key this season and beyond for our players".

The Fusion U10 boys will be in action again on Saturday, 1 pm, in Norton.
