Scholarship Candidates:
The Maywood Youth Athletic Association, MYAA, is a town wide, collaborative non-profit group that facilitates organization, communication, and cooperation between all member youth sports programs, local governments and schools through coordinated operations, constant fundraising and shared resources in order to promote a positive environment where all Maywood youth may participate, experience success, enjoy growth and have fun through the character building, healthful benefits of competitive sports. The organization would like to announce the creation of a college scholarship opportunity for one graduating high school senior boy and one graduating high school senior girl to use towards their respective college tuition costs.
Requirements:
- Must be a resident of Maywood;
- Must have participated in a sport or activity sponsored by the MYAA;
- Must have a cumulative B average or 3.0 GPA through the first semester of your 12th grade year to be eligible;
- Must have already been accepted or in the process of applying to a 2 or 4 year institution of higher learning;
- Must provide three letters of recommendation;
- Must complete the essay requirements as set forth;
