ENCO donates to Project Cleats

Beginning this past summer and ending with a visit in October, Jose Coronado along with his mens' league teams (over 40 and over 30) and the ENCO U14 Boys team organized a family and friends fundraiser for his nephew's "Project Cleats" initiative in Guatemala.  Coronado has two children in the ENCO United club in both the U14 Boys and U10 Girls teams.

The program supplies youth teams in Guatemala with uniforms and cleats. The program is focused on allowing the youth to continue playing with proper soccer equipment (especially cleats) best they can.

Jose was accompanied by two friends, Roberto Liotti and Mike Pasco, who both play soccer with him as well as his brother Leo Coronado.

While there, they were able to see the boys play on one weekend while the girls had no game but were getting ready for a tournament. Jose and the others bought Italian Ice for the kids after the game.  Coronado mentioned that one of his highlights of the trip was when one little boy wanted a pair of Messi cleats even though they were too big for him and begged his coach to have those and he will put 2-3 pairs of sock on to make them fit.
