TUSC & SUSA working together!

Dear TUSC Friends and Families,

We are excited to announce that SUSA and TUSC have decided to work cooperatively moving forward to provide a streamlined soccer program for your children in Tallmadge and the surrounding communities!  Our current setup is going to maintain the two programs in name and basic function.

What does this mean for you?

TUSC will no longer offer a recreational soccer program but will instead work with SUSA to coordinate and develop players from the recreational program into the travel / competitive program.    The goal is to eliminate the confusion when registering your children for soccer for the residents of Tallmadge and surrounding communities.  TUSC will offer competitive “travel” teams to play against the greater Akron area.

In addition to their normal fall program, SUSA will be adding a spring rec program as of 2020.

A simple breakdown is as follows:

SUSA – offer community only recreational soccer for ages 2-1/2 to 14 years

TUSC – offer competitive/travel soccer for ages 6 thru 15 years

U7/U8 program is a step-up program from rec – practice @ fairgrounds & games at NC Hudson only - at a reduced cost for both the program and the uniforms

U9 thru 15 – competitive soccer playing in GAASA or similar leagues

SUSA registration for fall ends on 06/16 – www.susayouthsoccer.com

TUSC registration begins 06/07 thru 07/15 – http://tallmadgeunited.ohionorthsoccerlive.org/home.php

SUSA will now hold an eight-week session in the Fall AND Spring! Your registration for each session will be slightly less than the TUSC program AND will now cover the jersey top, shorts, socks and a trophy at the end of the season.  There will also be at least one referee for each game (excluding Little Kickers) and fields and equipment that are well maintained by both clubs.

SUSA has their games on Sundays at the Summit County Fairgrounds.  Both of our organizations are non-profit and volunteer based programs and therefore are ALWAYS asking for volunteers to help operate the fields and equipment.  SUSA has always maintained an open concession stand at the fairgrounds on game day and will be ACTIVELY looking for volunteers to help especially in this area.

Please feel free to email SUSA at [email protected] with any questions or concerns regarding the recreational program.  Our two programs will continue to operate as separate organizations at this time but with a goal of creating a single soccer organization for Tallmadge and its’ surrounding communities in the near future.

Thank you for your continued support,

Tony Leipold - President
