Score 6: Pursuing Victory with Honorâ„¢

The Score 6 program has been implemented by the Bloomingdale Park District in the hopes that the main focus of youth sports will be placed on fun instead of winning at all costs. The idea of winning is important, to an extent. However, it is necessary that the rules of the game are followed and the players, coaches, officials and opponents are respected at all times. The teaching of our young players on how to win with honor and lose with dignity and pride is a focal point of Score 6.

ALL PARENTS AND COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND A SCORE 6 MEETING AND SIGN A CODE OF CHARACTER. Athletes will not be allowed to participate until at least ONE of their parents has attended a Score 6 meeting. The program is completely free and will only last about an hour. If you have already attended a Score 6 meeting on behalf of another sport, you ARE NOT required to attend any additional Score 6 meetings. A one-time meeting attendance per family is all that is required.

According to BBSA policy, if a family does not complete a Score 6 meeting the player can be removed from the program until the family completes Score 6.

Parents and coaches should choose the earliest of the meeting dates listed. You must call the Park District, (630)529-3650, to register for the Score 6 meeting at least three days in advance. No walk-ins allowed! Anyone who is late does not receive credit for the class and is required to attend another session. Early departures do not receive credit for attending.
