Season Opener Goes Down to the Wire!

We have all been very excited about the start of this season. I’ve noticed that players have put in a lot of practice on their own and I think it will pay off. Our opener last weekend was a close match and we look forward to facing the Fire again for another battle later this season. After both teams were scoreless the first half, both teams came out with less nerves and more aggressive. I reminded our players how much work they had put in and that they were ready to be more aggressive and attack. The Fire led with started a back and forth exchange until it was tied at 4-4. With only a couple minutes left Jeff made a beautiful corner kick that Mike was able to control and pass to Jim that hammered it into the back of the net. Glad to start the season with an aggressive style of play and lots of goals. Really proud of the team for adjusting at the half and turning it up.
