Patriots Dominate Penalties, Advance to States 2nd Round Matchup!

After a tough 100" battle with Richard Montgomery, and the several emotional days in the aftermath of the tragedy of last week, the Patriots and Rockets met on Monday afternoon to settle their 1st Round Playoff Game in a Penalty Kick Shootout. The contest was preceded by a moment of silence at midfield in memory of referee Rolly Magallanes, who has played such a meaningful role in the lives of so many youth players in our community for so many years.

Gabby Heitman was outstanding in goal, denying RM shooters on three of their four opportunities, while Patriot penalties were scored by Sarah Levine, Meghan Murphy, and Macy Fewell! As a result, Wootton advances to play a 2nd Round State Playoff game at Clarksburg on Tuesday, October 30. Good luck, Patriots!
