Bushnell Electric is proud to be presenting the City of Bushnell's 32nd Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15th this year, from 10 am until 10 pm. The Festival venue has been relocated from the downtown Courthouse area out to the Kenny Dixon Sports Complex at the corner of Battlefield Parkway and W. Noble Avenue. We received a lot of positive feedback last year from the vendors who participated, as well as from a majority of festival-goers. They praised the City's decision to utilize the park's many amenities for the festival…from the concessions stands, restrooms, picnic tables, playgrounds, and shady areas to gather with family and friends…reviews were positive regarding the change of venue!

This year's festival will begin with a parade down Main Street at 10:00 am. As in years past, it will assemble at the High School and travel south along Main Street to W. Parkhill Avenue.
Opening Ceremonies for the Festival will begin at 11:30 am at the Ball Park under the Main Tent. Sarah Sarver will open things up with the National Anthem, and will lead a list of local talents scheduled to perform throughout the rest of the day. 

Be sure to enter one of the fun activities, such as the Corn Hole or Log Sawing Competitions. Your children can purchase an all-day wrist band that will allow them access to all the Kiddy Land fun, and they’ll also want to try to catch a piglet during the Suncoast Credit Union's Greased Pig Contest at 2:30 pm! Sign-ups for the various activities will begin at 11:30 am at each activity's location. Venue maps will be provided at Bushnell City Hall during the month of September, as well as when you enter the festival at the City's Booth Space.

As you stroll around the complex during the afternoon, be sure to shop the various arts and craft vendors, perhaps getting a jump start on your Christmas gift list. The Festival Committee is reaching out to Arts & Crafts Vendors throughout Sumter as well as surrounding counties to join us in making this year's festival a truly great experience for all!  If you're a craft vendor interested in obtaining a space at the festival, please contact Ruby Mark, Festival Coordinator, at 352-569-2441 or by email at [email protected]. Oh, and don’t forget the Festival Food!  Mmmmmm!  Bushnell has some great cooks, whose churches and civic organizations always offer an assortment of delicious, mouth-watering meals!  And then there’s the concession vendors, offering Italian Sausages, Funnel Cakes, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwiches, Tacos, Barbecue, Ice Cream...the list goes on and on! 

From 5-9 pm, Todd Brown and the River Junction Band will get things jumping under the Main Tent, so bring along your dancin' shoes for a Rootin'-Tootin'-Boot-Scootin' good time! A fireworks display will take place behind the ball fields at 9 pm, wrapping up a fun-filled day of excitement and festivity.
