Below are answers to frequently asked questions  around the evaluation process:

Q: Who needs to attend the evaluation?  All registered Babe Ruth players.
Q: What time does my child need to be there?  Please arrive and be ready at least 15 minutes prior to the posted start times.
Q: Where are evaluations held?  WGMS (West Genesee Middle School)
Q: What does my child need to bring?  Baseball glove. Helmets and Bat (optional) are not needed!
Q: How long do evaluations last? Estimated time is approximately 90 minutes.
Q: What do I need to do?  Please arrive on time and sign in with one of the CSBA coaches
Q: What does my player need to do?  Simply listen, hustle and have fun!  The CSBA coaching staff will run the players through a series of drills. At the conclusion of which they are free to go.
Q: Why evaluate the players?  It is the goal of CSBA to, not only set players up for individual success, but to ensure that teams within each division are drafted as evenly as possible.
Q:  My child went through evaluations last year, does s/he need to go this year?  Yes. Kids mature and develop at different rates and can show dramatic improvements from one year to the next. (This is the same reason that teams are drafted each season.)
Q: What happens after evaluations? The week following evaluations, the BR Commissioner and Coaches will complete team drafts.  Each coach will then reach out to each player informing them of their team and schedule.
