Let me start by saying how proud I am of the entire team for the efforts they put forward this weekend. It takes a lot of commitment and character to play 3 full games in this heat with no subs. Not once did I see a single player give up. We got tired but, never stopped pushing forward. We had a player with an injured ankle. 2 players who missed school at the end of the week due to stomach viruses and they fought threw it with no complaints. Character and commitment!
I noticed some very inappropriate behavior from players on our opposing team that embarrassed their coaches. I would like to say that I am honored to know that we have a team filled with hard working players who have respect for the game, themselves, their parents, their coaches AND their opponents. Our boys would never act the way we saw some acting and that is a true testament to their character.
We have a clear view of what we need to work on and look forward to watching these awesome boys grow together They will improve individually and also as a team. Thanks to all the parents, siblings, other family members and family friends who came out to support our boys.
Get some rest, hydrate and eat a BIG meal on Monday to replenish the boys bodies because we are back at it on Tuesday.
