Registration FAQs

Why the change in Registration process?
Online registration is designed to make the process more efficient and secure for everyone.  In combination with open registration dates, the league can ensure that all pertinent information is received for each player, and board members will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.  After initial set up of your account this year, the system will save your information for subsequent years, making the process even easier.

Can I pay with check or cash?
Yes, however, you will need to attend one of the open registration dates listed below.  You will be able to input your information online, but rather than checking out, you will leave your cart "full" and attend one of the open registrations submit your payment in person and complete the registration process.  We encourage you to set up your login on the website in advance, and input your child(ren)'s information, to help the in-person registration go quickly.  Please do not "checkout" if you are paying with cash/check unless you are at an in-person, open registration.

Tuesday January 19th         430pm - 7pm AGHS Boys Boys & Girls Basketball
Friday February 5th 430pm - 7pm AGHS Boys Boys & Girls Basketball

I am trying to complete my registration, but the website will not let me.  What should I do?
The website works much better from tablets or computers than it does from phones.  If you are trying to register from a phone, please try from a tablet or computer, if possible.  If you still have trouble, please send an email to [email protected].  If you are not paying with a debit/credit card, you will not be able to complete your registration online.  You can add the registrations to your "cart" and complete the registration with payment via cash/check at one of our open registration events.  We will have tablets available for use at the open registration events.

What if I want my child to play up or down a level?
You must register your child in the division that coincides with their age.  You may indicate your request in the "Special Requests/Comments" field that you will see as you go through the registration process.  The possibility to play up will depend on the number of registered athletes for each age level and this decision will be made only with Board approval.  These decisions will be made in the best interest of the league.

What if my child does not meet the minimum age requirements for the lowest levels but I want them to play?
Please come talk to us at one of our open registration events or email [email protected].

The division showing up as available for my child to register for is not the right division, according to the ages listed and my child's age.  What should I do?
First, please ensure you have entered the appropriate date of birth for your child.  If the date is correct, but you still feel the division available is incorrect, please send an email to [email protected].  Please remember that only the divisions that coincide with your child's birth date will be available.  If you are requesting that your child play up or down in a different division, decisions will be made based upon the child's ability and must be approved by the board.  Upon approval we will adjust their registration.

Who can I contact with questions?

Please send an email to [email protected] with any questions and we will do our best to respond as soon as possible.  You may also attend one of our open registration sessions to speak to someone about any questions or concerns.

When will games be played?

Typically there are games in the evenings during the week, and on Saturdays from mid-May to mid-July.  League meetings for scheduling games will take place in mid-February - March time-frame.  It is this reason that registrations are taking place so early.  You can help us by registering your child(ren) as soon as possible.

Is my online payment with credit card secure?
Yes!  Payments are processed by Blue Sombrero, a Dick's Sporting Goods company.  Ashland Youth Ball Association will not have access to your credit/debit card information.  Blue Sombrero's registration collection screens are fully encrypted with 128 bit encryption backed by VeriSign, the leader in SSL Certificates and Security.
