Hello, Team!
Welcome to OYAA Recreational Soccer! I'm Nathan Morse; Marc Liston and I will be coaching your team this fall. As usual, we need to hit the ground running. Our first game is August 23rd, so we are starting practice this week, which will give us merely four practices before our first game. So, please do your best to make it to every practice!
Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at
Highbanks Metro Park, all the way down in the Open Play Area in the Big Meadows Picnic Area (left at the fork between the two restrooms). It's the orange area in the northwest corner of
this map.
Our first practice is Tuesday, August 5th at 6:00 p.m. Please bring a size 4 ball, shin guards, soccer cleats, water, and a good attitude. Also, if you eat before practice, please make it a light meal, or well before practice: Cramps aren't fun for anyone. Please do not bring candy or toys to practice.
I will keep practice and game times current on the calendar here on our Team Page at
oyaa.org (My Account, shown when you first log in, will take you there). I will also post news here, as you can see, so please make use of this resource; but don't worry, I plan to email, too. If you need to have these emails going to more than one person, you're in luck: Y
ou can add a "player email" in order to have an additional person (e.g. another parent) receive the emails, too. It also appears that you can list a secondary email address for your account, which would theoretically allow you to receive emails at three addresses.

Marc and I want all our kids to have fun, and learn some soccer skills. Anything you can do at home — even just passing the ball back and forth — helps develop those skills!
