Rule Change Highlight: Pitcher Rest

Regarding pitch count and rest...a pitcher who reaches his/her imposed days of rest threshold while facing a batter is allowed to continue to pitch until the current batter has been retired or reaches base.  The pitcher will only be required to observe the calendar day(s) of rest for the threshold he/she reached during that at bat.
