FAMILY FUN DAY AT THE BEACH

Hello, TOPSports parents and athletes,
My name is Shawn McAnaney.  I'm a North Wildwood Beach Patrol lieutenant.  I just wanted to pass on to you my work experience so that you will be assured that your children will be in capable hands during FAMILY FUN DAY AT THE BEACH.  I have been a lifeguard on the beach since 1989.  In that time I have been lucky enough to have two sons.  My oldest is named Shane, who is aged 17 and has Down Syndrome.  He and I have been tandem surfing since he was 5.  I have also been involved with Life Rolls On as a water leader for adaptive athletes with all levels of abilities from minor paralysis to quadriplegia.
The North Wildwood Beach Patrol and I have been hosting FAMILY FUN DAY AT THE BEACH since 2010 for families with children of any disability.  In that time we have put together a very competent team of lifeguards that have been hand picked to give every athlete the positive experience they and their family would expect.  Our team has a blend of surfers, educators, siblings of children with special needs and students pursuing degrees in all areas of education.  I'm very confident in our teams' abilities to make your day a FUN and SAFE experience for all who participate, whether on the beach or in the ocean.
We at the North Wildwood Beach Patrol look forward to meeting your families and friends.  Together we can make this day a celebration of our families and friends for years to come.
Sincerely,
Shawn McAnaney, Lt. NWBP
