'99 NU PREMIER (PAW) vs. Capital Futbol Diplomats

​While Pittsburgh is not noted for an abundance of sun filled days the sun did shine for brief periods at Rooney Field on Saturday, February 7, 2015.  It was a mix of sun, clouds and plenty of wind, all in all, not a bad day at least for the NU U15 boys.  After an initial period of settling in the offense erupted to finish the 1st half at 5-0 in this first round of the EDP Open Cup.  In the 2nd half a variety of formations tempered the offensive pace with a shutout being preserved and a final score of 7-0.

This marks the inaugural game with an early start to '99 NU Premier's campaign to win the PAW State Cup and return to the Regional Tournament in West Virginia this year.  A busy season including play in the newly formed Champions League and Eastern Developmental Program, promise to provide an abundance of touches to springboard the team into the State Cup tournament as a battle tested squad.
