The Susquehanna Township Girls Softball Association is mandated by state law to require all volunteers/coaches to complete a criminal background check.

All volunteers must have the following clearances on file with the Association: a Child Abuse History Clearance (from the Department of Human Services), a Report of Criminal History from the Pennsylvania State Police, and either 1) a fingerprint-based federal (FBI) report of criminal history if you have lived outside of Pennsylvania in the past ten years or 2) an affirmation in writing that you are not disqualified from service based on a conviction of an offense per state law, if you have lived in Pennsylvania for the last ten years. All volunteer clearances must be renewed every 5 years, per state law.

If you have lived in PA for the past ten years, then we only need this affidavit completed and not the FBI fingerprint-based background check.

Please note these are the SAME clearances required to volunteer at Susquehanna Township Schools and other volunteer organizations. Valid clearances (obtained within the last five years) are transferable. If you have already obtained these clearances for another volunteer commitment, please just forward copies to [email protected] with the subject line CLEARANCES.
