ESSA U9/10 Coed Rec

U9/10 Coed Rec Overview

In the U9/10 division, players start to develop basic techniques and begin playing as a team.  Passing becomes a larger part of the game.  The kids meet for 1.5 hours two nights a week for practice to learn basic soccer skills and play games on Saturday morning. Schedules are always on the web site as well as field maps. These are the tools that will help you know where to be and when to be there.

Registration
Registration for the spring and fall season can be completed online or at a designated registration time and location.  Online registration for spring seasons typically runs January through March with on-site registrations being held early to mid March.  Online Registration for fall typically runs from mid May to Mid August with on-site registrations being held in early August.
Age Requirement

Players are assigned to groups based on a birth-date cutoff date of July 31. Please consult the "Age Chart" which can be found on the left side of our Home Page, under the "Links" heading. Also, be aware that while children can sometimes play "up" into an older age group, they may never play down, per Indiana Soccer rules.

Coaches

Teams are coached by volunteer parents. About one half the coaches in this division are first-time coaches with little or no soccer experience and the other half have usually only coached the younger U7/8/ and U5/6 players.
